About Candy

My name is Candy and I own OffAssist. I've been a VA since February 2002 and work full time with my husband at it. We have been very successful and I am always being asked for just 2 minutes of my time. This is my way of giving everyone... "just 2 minutes of my time". Enjoy and please ask away!

Hi Candy, I used to be a member of the local Chamber and am actually considering going back. It’s not only a great place to network (as there is usually a very good cross-section of business types) but it’s a great source for business information, education and contacts (that’s how I found my computer support guy). More important than all of that, for me – was the human connection. I can network all day long online but sometimes, I just want to talk to a real live human being!

As for Toastmasters – just go and have fun with it. If you can do that and not take it too seriously, you will do very well. Just look at your audience and picture webcams instead of faces! :) I was a member for many years and really loved it. I’m the opposite of you though, I can talk to a group, no problem – because I can “read” my audience. Put me in front of a web-cam and I’m terrified because I can’t see my audience.

    Have fun!
    Sandra
