Why would you use a check printer???? Why not just use your bank on line payments

Hi Joe – It’s a good question and there are several reasons for it. A lot of folks still don’t trust online banking, or they do now, but they REALLY don’t trust online payment systems. Also, unless you are paying a large company (Sprint, Bank of America, GMAC or something like that), it can take 7 to 10 days for your payment to reach the recipient. Sometimes you just want to get a payment in someone’s hand faster. Also, doing them online, esp if you have a lot of them to do or you don’t pay the same people over and over again. For instance, one of my magazine clients has new authors all the time. I already have to enter all the information into the accounting system. I’d have to reenter it into the online banking system – or just push a few buttons and print a check. It’s all relative and one size doesn’t fit all clients. Yes, some do online banking and bill payments and are happy with that, but some don’t like that or want it. They still need to sign those checks and see them first hand.
