Should Virtual Assistants use Quickbooks for their business?
Today we answer Theresa’s question… If I loathe QuickBooks and accounting but don’t have the money in my bank to pay a high cost bookkeeper to do my books, is there a solution?
Resources:
Quickbooks – - Simple Start is free and allows you to have 20 customers and vendors, I usually tell people to spring for the Pro version though

I totally agree with Candy. As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I believe QB can be a very powerful tool for VAs. Products like Freshbooks are great for simply sending invoices and knowing who owes you money. But if you want a true picture of how your business is doing financially, QuickBooks is the way to go. There are several QuickBooks options out there and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.
I will be speaking about using QB in your Virtual Assistant business at the OIVAC (Online International Virtual Assistants Convention) on Saturday, May 16th. http://www.oivac.com/
Candy, thanks for this information. My biz is just starting, so QB works well…for now. I like the reminder about turning over things you don’t like or do well to those who do!
